Discount Calculator

Calculate the sale price and how much you save after a percentage discount, with an optional extra discount on top.

Prices are calculated mathematically. Check the store's terms because some offers apply to selected items only.

How to use the discount calculator

  1. Enter the original price.
  2. Enter the discount percentage, and an extra percentage if the store offers a second discount.
  3. Press Calculate price to see the final price and the savings.

How it works

Sale price = original price × (1 − discount ÷ 100). When there is a second discount, it is applied to the already reduced price, not to the original price. So 25% off followed by 10% off is not the same as 35% off.

The total savings percentage shown in the result tells you the real overall discount.

Example

A 200 item with 25% off costs 150 and saves 50. With an extra 10% off, it costs 135, saving 65 in total, which is 32.5% off the original price.

Frequently asked questions

Is 25% off then 10% off the same as 35% off?

No. The second discount applies to the lower price, so the total is 32.5% off, not 35%.

How do I find the original price from a sale price?

Divide the sale price by (1 − discount ÷ 100). For example, 150 after 25% off was 150 ÷ 0.75 = 200.

Does it include VAT?

No. Add VAT separately with the VAT calculator if needed.
